IT / ITeS Policy 2022–2027

The Gujarat IT / ITeS Policy 2022–2027 aims to strengthen Gujarat as a major destination for information technology and digital services companies.

The policy encourages investment in software development, IT services, business process outsourcing (BPO), fintech, data centres, and emerging technologies by providing financial incentives and infrastructure support.

Through rental assistance, tax benefits, and employment incentives, the government aims to promote technology startups, IT companies, and innovation-driven businesses across the state.

The policy is valid until March 2027 and supports both new companies and expanding IT/ITeS businesses.

Key Incentives Under the Policy

Category I – GFCI less than INR 250 Cr

CAPEX & OPEX Support

Particulars Details
CAPEX Support Up to 25% of eligible CAPEX expenditure, subject to a maximum of ₹50 Cr
Disbursed in 20 equal quarterly installments
OPEX Support Up to 15% of annual eligible OPEX, subject to a maximum of ₹20 Cr per year for 5 years from the date of eligibility
Disbursed in quarterly installments

Other Incentives

Incentive Details
Employment Generation Incentive (EGI) New local employees hired and retained for a minimum of 1 year are eligible for 50% of one month’s CTC, subject to
  • ₹50,000 per male employee
  • ₹60,000 per female employee
Interest Assistance Interest subsidy of 7% on term loan or actual interest paid (whichever is lower), subject to ₹1 Cr per annum
Atmanirbhar Gujarat Rojgar Sahay Reimbursement of the employer’s EPF contribution for employees working in Gujarat for 5 years:
  • 100% for female employees
  • 75% for male employees
  • Ceiling: 12% of Basic + DA + retaining allowance
Electric Duty Incentive (EDI) 100% reimbursement of the electric duty paid to the Government of Gujarat for 5 years

Who Can Apply?

The policy is open to:

  • New IT / ITeS companies establishing operations in Gujarat
  • Existing IT companies expanding their offices or operations 
  • Startups and technology-driven enterprises 
  • Companies operating in software, digital services, fintech, and technology solutions 

Both MSMEs and large technology companies are eligible under this policy.
